During his trip to the Horn of Africa, Foreign Minister Gabriel met on 2 May with representatives of the African Union the Prime Minister of Ethiopia.
On 9 May 2017 the German Ambassador in Ethiopia, Joachim Schmidt, and Dr. Yumiko Yokozeki, Officer in Charge of UNESCO Addis Ababa signed the project-contract on “UNESCO film on biodiversity issues at Lake Tana”.
