Donation of Footballs to German Church School
The German Church School in Addis Ababa is a non-profit school for physically challenged children and those from socially underprivileged families. The school with app. 400 students is one of the biggest welfare projects of the German Evangelical Church and is financed of the German Language Congregation in Addis Ababa and donations from Europe. The German Embassy has been supporting the work of the Church School for decades. On Friday, 17 June, in the light of the Football European Championship and in conclusion of the school year, the Desk Officer for Culture of the German Embassy handed over a donation of 20 footballs to the school’s girls and boys football teams. The school’s director, Ato Teklu, assured to form veritable winning teams with these balls.
